- Some info from Makenna Sellers, MREA: Re cost comparison of cost of solar ready vs cost of retrofit, Berkeley National Labs (covering a sample that was mostly CA but some other state data was gathered) found that systems in new construction were about $0.40/W cheaper than retrofit systems after controlling for other price drivers.
