Individual Goals of Training:

  • Learn basic lobbying skills, practice “the Ask”
  • Know who your legislators are and how to find them today
  • Choose one or two specific bills on which to lobby
  • Learn about hot conservation issues and the specific legislation affecting clean water, family farmers and ranchers, clean energy and wildlife
  • Meet with your Representative and Senator
  • Report the results of your conversation to your Conservation Staff Contact

    This will be my first lobbying experience. It saddens me that I am 36 years old and just now choosing to become aware of the laws that govern my life and affect the future of my children and upcoming generations. I am very excited for this opportunity to make a difference in the State and government in which I reside. It is never to late to start making a difference!
