Support Clean Energy Incentives for Montana

Judith Gap Wind Farm, Montana.

Important incentives for renewable energy development will be eliminated at the end of 2012 if Congress doesn’t act quickly to extend them. The renewable energy production tax credit (PTC) is the primary incentive in jeopardy of elimination this year.

In Montana, the renewable energy production tax credit (PTC) has bolstered development of our tremendous wind resource. Montana has the second highest wind energy potential in the nation. The PTC has put us on track towards developing our clean energy potential—while protecting our environment and improving our economy.

In less than ten years, the PTC has helped Montana increase our clean energy production by over 600 percent! Developing wind and other clean energy resources helps improve public health by keeping our air and water clean. The PTC has also helped create hundreds of jobs and contributes millions of dollars in tax payments to local communities.

This progress could be derailed if Congress doesn’t act NOW to extend the renewable production tax credit!

Congress won’t act, if they don’t hear from YOU!

It’s time to support clean energy incentives for Montana! Join us in the effort to support clean energy by signing the petition asking Montana’s Congressional delegation to extend the renewable energy production tax credit!

Yes! I support Clean Energy! I am asking Congress to extend the renewable energy PTC that is slated to expire at the end of this year.
