Judge sides with NorthWestern in Laurel power plant suit

A zoning lawsuit entangling NorthWestern Energy’s gas-fired power plant in Laurel has ended in favor of the utility and Yellowstone County.

District Judge Jessica Fehr on Monday ruled that Yellowstone County has jurisdiction over the property where power plant is located.
