I am writing with the important update that I will be stepping away from my role as Executive Director of MEIC after the first week of February.

First and foremost– thank you. Serving as Executive Director has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. Over the past six years at MEIC, I have loved working alongside our brilliant staff team, visionary board members, and our energetic community of supporters for climate action and a more clean and healthful environment for Montanans. Together, we have grown this organization and our impact; it has been an incredible journey!

I’m going to miss working at MEIC (BIG TIME), but I’m transitioning away at a time when this organization has fantastic leadership, the whole-hearted commitment of its members, and a solid financial foundation. In the coming months, the indomitable Anne Hedges will be taking on the mantle of Executive Director and other members of the staff will be stepping into greater leadership roles that reflect their great competence and capacity. During this transition, I’ll be working closely with the board and staff to ensure a seamless handover.

I cannot emphasize enough my profound gratitude for your support, trust, and shared passion for this beautiful state we call home. I look forward to remaining an active supporter of MEIC and cheering on its continued success right along with y’all!

For Montana,

Cari Kimball
