As a sense of urgency drives decision-makers to find a reliable, carbon-free energy future, many in Montana are asking: Is nuclear energy generation in the cards for Montana? The recent NuScale failure in Utah throws a lot of doubt on how viable nuclear energy is for larger communities, let alone a rural state like Montana.
Join us for a two-part event series to discuss where nuclear energy generation is today, where it is (and isn’t going) in the future, and what exciting new paths are emerging to quickly decarbonize, maintain reliability, save money, and address the climate crisis.
Part 2 will feature three in-person events in Missoula, Billings, and Bozeman. MEIC’s Anne Hedges & Nick Fitzmaurice and a Montana Chapter of the Sierra Club representative will share a video from Montana PBS and discuss what other energy generation might be faster, cheaper, and cleaner for Montana.
