SB 284 by Sen. Russel Tempel (R-Chester) would eliminate any requirement that opencut operations (i.e. gravel pits) provide compensatory mitigation for impacts to critical sage grouse breeding grounds (leks) if the gravel pit operation is greater than six-tenths of a mile from the lek.




This bill is scheduled for a debate and vote on the House Floor on 3/1.
