SB 154 by Rep. Jason Small (R-Busby) would allow for local governments to suspend the collection of delinquent taxes on gross coal proceeds. This bill allows for large corporations to shirk financial responsibility to the local communities that they operate in. It also will place local communities in a precarious and difficult position should the company declare bankruptcy.
