MEIC will be your voice on issues ranging from global warming to water and air quality to hardrock mining, and sound land use planning. You can make an annual contribution by choosing one of several membership levels or by joining MEIC’s monthly giving Pledge Program.

The Financial Rescue Package of 2009 (H.R. 1424) gives older individuals a new opportunity to make charitable contributions directly from their IRA accounts.  If you are age 70 ½ or older, you can make a direct transfer to a charitable group, such as MEIC, without increasing your taxable income or paying any additional tax.  This opportunity is retroactive to January 1, 2008 and applies to charitable gifts made through December 1, 2009.
