The Montana Land Board
The Land Board is charged with overseeing the management of 5.2 million
acres of school trust land in the state, deciding
how best to generate revenue for the trust from these lands. The
Department of Natural Resources and Conservation carries out the
management decisions of the Land Board through its Trust Land
Management Division. The five members of Montana's Land Board (formally known as the Board of Land Commissioners) are:
